Introduction — our pricing philosophy

STS  Apostille & Attestation Service is committed to transparent, fair, and competitive pricing for apostille, attestation, notary, translation and related document services. Our fees reflect the real costs of processing (staff time, verification, follow-ups), third-party official fees (government / consular), secure handling, and optional add-on services. We show a clear itemised quote for every job so you always know what you’re paying for.

Note: The official MEA Apostille charge in India is nominal (official fee charged by the government is small — the MEA lists a fixed nominal apostille fee). We pass such official fees at cost and separately identify them in our quotes.

What makes up the total price

Each order’s final cost is the sum of clearly defined components:

1. STS Service Fee — our charge for end-to-end handling: document pre-screening, application preparation, submission to authorities, follow-up, tracking and customer support. This is the fee we keep for our professional work.
2. Government / Consular Fees — official fees levied by state authorities, the Ministry of External Affairs, embassies/consulates or other public bodies (passed through at cost). These may change without notice. Examples: MEA apostille fee, embassy legalization fees.
3. Ancillary Fees — required extras such as state Home Department certification, notary, HRD / SDM / SDM verification, or any mandatory pre-certification. (These depend on the document type and state.)
4. Translation / Certification Fees — certified translation (if required by destination authority); prices vary by language and document complexity.
5. Courier & Handling Fees — secure domestic/international courier options; priced by destination and speed.
6. Surcharges (where applicable) — rush processing, out-of-hours pickup, corrections after submission caused by client, or special handling for fragile / large documents.

Market context (how others price)

while full end-to-end agencies commonly charge more (₹1,200–₹6,500 or higher for multi-step services such as HRD + apostille or embassy legalization). This variability depends on whether the provider only forwards documents or provides full expert handling, translation, resubmission support, and secure international courier.

    ✅ Commercial Documents (Apostille / Attestation) – Pricing Note Commercial documents usually require extra authentication before MEA, such as Chamber of Commerce (CoC) and sometimes Embassy attestation (for non-Hague countries).

    Final pricing may increase if your document requires any extra authentication steps such as SDM / HRD / Home Department / Chamber of Commerce verification. Charges depend on the issuing state, document category, and destination country requirements.

    Pricing Notes
    • Final cost may vary based on document type, issuing state, notarization or verification requirements.
    • Express pricing applies to eligible documents only.
    • MEA-only service applies where no prior state or departmental authentication is required.
    • All prices are inclusive of MEA apostille fees unless stated otherwise.

Apostille — corporate / commercial documents

    • Expedited (7–8 business days): Starting from ₹7,000 / document.

Embassy Attestation / Legalisation (Non-Hague countries)

• • • • Multi-step / embassy fees vary widely (embassy consular fees can range from a few thousand rupees to much higher depending on country and steps required). We will confirm and itemise the exact consular fee at the time of quote.

Add-ons (indicative)

        • Certified translation: Starting from ₹1,000 / page (depends on language).
        • State certification / HRD / SDM fees: As applicable (will be itemised).
        • Domestic secure courier (tracked): Flat/zone rates – quoted per order.
        • International courier: Quoted based on destination & speed.

These are starting prices for typical cases. Complex cases (multi-country legalization, documents issued outside India, embassy-specific requirements, or documents needing extensive rework) will attract higher fees and will be quoted individually.

Packages & bundles (recommended)

To simplify client decisions and improve value perception, we offer packaged options:

          • Standard Package — Basic + notary / state certification as required + tracking + email support.
          • Premium / Corporate Package — End-to-end handling including translations, embassy legalization (if needed), express processing, international secure courier, and account management for businesses.

Each package is offered as a named item with an itemised quote so clients can compare inclusions.

Quotes, validity & how we charge

• • • • • • • Itemised quotes: Every quote we provide will show a clear breakdown: STS fee, government/consular fees, ancillary fees, courier and taxes.
            • Quote validity: All written quotes are valid for 15 days from issue date unless stated otherwise. (We reserve the right to re-quote if official fees change.)
            • Payment terms: Full payment is required before we commence processing unless different terms are agreed in writing for corporate accounts. We accept bank transfers, UPI, major credit/debit cards, and corporate billing on approved accounts. Payments are processed via secure gateways; we do not store full card numbers.
            • Price changes: Government/consular fees and exchange rates can change. If fees change after a quote but before payment/processing, we will notify you and the final invoice will reflect actual official fees.

Cancellations, refunds & re-submissions

• • • • • • • • Cancellation before submission: If you cancel before we submit documents to authorities, we will refund government/third-party fees (if not yet paid) and refund STS fees less administration charges. Exact refund amount depends on stage of work.
              • After submission: Once we have submitted documents to the authority (MEA / consulate / SDM etc.), the STS professional fee is non-refundable. Official government/consular fees, once paid, are generally non-refundable — this depends on the issuing authority and is beyond our control.
              • Rejection by authority: If a document is rejected for processing due to a fault of the authority or an error on our part, we will rework and resubmit at no additional STS handling charge. If rejection is due to incorrect or incomplete documents supplied by the client, additional charges will apply for correction/resubmission.
              • Disputes / dissatisfaction: We strive to resolve all client issues promptly. Please contact our support team; escalation to management is available for unresolved cases.

Surcharges & exceptional fees

Surcharges may apply in the following situations: emergency / same-day service requests, after-hours pickups, unusually large volumes, shipping to remote international locations, or extra work arising from incomplete documents the client supplied. We will always communicate surcharges before charging them.

Discounts & corporate accounts

                • Repeat customers & referral discounts: Registered repeat customers and referrals may be eligible for periodic promotional discounts.
                • Corporate contracts: Custom SLA and fixed pricing can be arranged for corporate clients on a contractual basis.

Security, confidentiality & value-justification

Your original documents and personal information are handled with strict confidentiality. Our pricing includes secure document handling, professional review to minimise rejection risk, and tracked courier return for safe delivery — services that many low-cost facilitators do not provide. This reduces delays, rework and risk to you.

Force majeure & processing time disclaimers

Processing times stated (standard / expedited) are estimates and depend on third-party authorities (MEA, state departments, embassies) and courier networks. Delays due to public holidays, changes in consular procedures, government backlogs, or acts outside our control are not attributable to STS  Apostille & Attestation Service. Where possible, we’ll keep you informed and work to expedite resolution.
