These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of services provided by STS Apostille & Attestation Service (“STS”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By accessing our website, submitting documents, booking a service, or availing any service from STS, you (“client”, “you”, “your”) agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Scope of Services

STS provides document-related services including:

• Apostille (MEA)
• State / SDM / HRD Authentication
• Embassy & Consulate Attestation
• MOFA / Foreign Ministry Legalisation
• Notary Services
• Certified Translation
• Drafting & Affidavit Preparation
• Courier Pickup & Return Delivery
• Document Verification & Consultation

STS Apostille & Attestation Service is not a government body.
We act as a private facilitation service on behalf of clients to assist with documentation.

2. No Guarantee of Government Outcomes

Apostille, attestation, embassy legalization, and verification results depend solely on government authorities.

Therefore, STS:

• Does not guarantee approval, authentication, legalization, verification, or acceptance of any document.
• Is not responsible for rejection due to document issues, format issues, mismatch of information, spelling errors, verification challenges, or issuing authority refusal.
• Cannot influence decisions made by MEA, state departments, embassies, consulates, or government bodies.

All decisions made by authorities are final.

3. Client Responsibilities

Clients must ensure that:

• All documents submitted are genuine, valid, and legally issued.
• Personal details such as name, date of birth, passport details, and certificate information are accurate.
• Required supporting documents are provided (passport copies, photos, IDs, authorisation letters, etc.).
• Contact information, pickup address, and delivery address are correct.
• Instructions shared by STS are followed promptly.

Failure to provide correct documents or timely approval may delay or halt processing.

4.Service Timelines

• Timelines are estimates, not guarantees.
• Actual processing time may vary due to:
• Government workload
• Verification delays
• Embassy/consulate timings
• Holidays, strikes, natural calamities
• System downtime
• Additional scrutiny or document checks

STS Apostille & Attestation Service is not liable for delays outside its control.

5.Document Handling & Chain-of-Custody

• All documents are recorded upon receipt and stored securely.
• Only authorised staff handle original documents.
• Packages are dispatched in sealed, tamper-proof envelopes.
• Tracking numbers are shared after dispatch.

 STS Apostille & Attestation service utmost care but does not assume liability for events beyond its control.

6.Courier, Shipping & Transit Risks

Courier services used include Blue Dart, DTDC, Speed Post, DHL, FedEx, and others.
All courier deliveries are subject to their terms.

STS is not responsible for:

• Transit delays
• Lost, stolen, or damaged shipments
• Incorrect delivery due to client-provided address errors
• Customs delays or clearance issues

Liability is limited to the declared/insured value under the courier’s policy.
Clients are strongly advised to opt for insurance when shipping original documents.

7.Government Fees & Third-Party Charges

Government fees, embassy charges, courier fees, translation fees, payment gateway fees, and other third-party charges are non-refundable, even if:

• A document is rejected
• A process takes longer than expected
• A client cancels after processing begins

Such charges are collected to complete mandatory processing.

8. Payment Terms

• Full payment is required before processing begins unless otherwise agreed.
• Payment receipts are provided for all transactions.
• Accepted payment methods include UPI, bank transfer, online payment, wallet, card, or cash (if allowed).
• Payments made for processing stages already completed are non-refundable.

Any outstanding balances must be cleared before final dispatch of documents.

9. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Key points:

• Full refund available only before any processing begins.
• Once STS initiates work (pickup, verification, submission, translation, courier booking), refunds become partial or unavailable.
• Shipping fees are non-refundable after dispatch.

10. Accuracy of Information on Website

STS strives to maintain accurate and updated information, but:

• Government rules change frequently.
• Embassy requirements may vary by country.
• Fees and timelines may change without prior notice.

STS is not liable for errors, outdated information, or misinterpretation of website content.

11. Use of Translations & Certified Copies

Certified translations provided by STS follow industry standards.
However:

• Acceptance of translations depends on the receiving authority.
• Some embassies/courts may have specific translator accreditation requirements.
• STS does not guarantee acceptance unless explicitly confirmed.

Responsibility for ensuring acceptance lies with the client.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under law:

STS’s total liability is limited to:

• The service fee paid to STS excluding third-party chargesOR
• The courier’s insured value in case of loss/damage during transit

whichever is lower.

STS Apostille & Attestation Service is not liable for:

• Loss of income or opportunity
• Rejection of documents by authorities
• Delays due to third parties
• Emotional, indirect, or consequential losses
• Typographical/document errors caused by the issuing authority
• Force majeure events

Clients use STS services at their own discretion and responsibility.

13.Intellectual Property

All content on the website — text, design, logos, structure, guides, and service descriptions — is the property of STS Apostille & Attestation Service.
Unauthorized copying or reproduction is prohibited.

14. Prohibited Activities

Clients may not:

• Submit forged, altered, or fraudulent documents
• Misuse STS services for unlawful purposes
• Provide misleading information
• Harass or threaten staff
• Attempt to bypass STS processes or security systems

STS reserves the right to withdraw services without refund if such activities occur.

15. Communication & Consent

By engaging STS services, the client consents to:

• Receiving SMS, WhatsApp, email updates
• Courier and dispatch updates
• Sharing documents with authorized third parties (government departments, embassies, translators, courier partners)

16. Jurisdiction & Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi (NCR) India.

17. Changes to Terms

STS may modify these Terms at any time.
Updated Terms will be published on our website with the latest “Last Updated” date.
Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
